Pre-Irene Press Conference, WCAX, August 27, 2011

I finally got around to going back through old show DVDs and pulling show versions of my reporter pieces I’ve done so far. This was the first one I did for WCAX, and it happened to be leading up to one of the biggest events (disasters is probably the better word) the state of Vermont has ever seen.

Governor Shumlin called a press conference the day before Hurricane Irene (it was dropped down to Tropical Storm Irene) was scheduled to hit the state. Here’s the recap:

In retrospect, considering the damage we saw after the storm came through, the last quote of the package should have been one of the first things. But hindsight is always 20/20. And for a first reporter piece, it wasn’t that bad.
